SOS roller gel after bite or sting
An insect bite can cause pain, swelling, redness, irritation and itching. In some cases, for example after a bee or wasp sting, an allergic reaction may occur. It is therefore important to get the right treatment after an insect or tick bite.
It is important to protect the skin from insect bites or stings. After all, regular rubbing in to avoid insect bites requires discipline and is therefore sometimes forgotten. So it may happen that you do get bitten or stung. This can cause the skin to itch and/or irritate.
How to use Insect SOS Roller after a wasp sting?
A wasp sting usually results in local symptoms at the site of the sting. This is usually limited to redness, swelling, itching and some pain. Cooling the spot can help. Afterwards, treat the affected skin with the soothing and itch-relieving Insect SOS Gel. If there are severe symptoms or signs of shock, seek urgent medical attention. This also applies if the wasp has stung the mouth, throat or tongue. Sucking on an ice cube or water ice can help against swelling.
What to do after a jellyfish bite?
Many jellyfish species can deliver stings with the nematocysts located in their tentacles. On contact, the animal injects venom into your skin with its venom glands, which contain hollow needles. A jellyfish bite can hurt a lot and usually leads to an inflammatory reaction. The site of the jellyfish bite often turns red, hurts and can be very itchy. Allergic reactions following a jellyfish bite are less common.
What is the best first aid after a jellyfish bite?
After a jellyfish bite, remove any remnants of tentacles with a glove or tweezers. Do not rinse the skin with fresh water; this can be done with salt seawater if necessary. Then treat the affected skin with the soothing and itching Insect SOS Gel. If there are numerous jellyfish bites or you experience symptoms such as headache, tightness of the chest or vomiting, seek urgent medical attention.
