How do you make that perfect whipped topping with vegan coconut whipped cream?
1. Always put the can of TerraSana Coconut Milk Whipped Cream Vegan in the fridge for at least 8 hours.
2. Shake the can briefly before opening it.
3. Use a narrow, tall bowl to whisk in.
4. Use an electric hand mixer (e.g. the whisk of the hand blender).
5. Set the mixer to high-speed.
6. Whip until you see that the coconut whipping cream has the right consistency. This usually takes 2-3 minutes, but depends on all the above factors.
Why is there tapioca in coconut whipped cream?
Tapioca is needed to make the tuft so nice and smooth, airy yet firm. Without it, you get a crumbly texture and whipping is much less successful. Tapioca is made from the cassava root and is gluten-free.
Will coconut whipped cream taste like coconut in my recipes?
The taste of this Coconut Milk Whipped Cream Vegan from TerraSana is different from that of regular whipped cream. It does not taste very much like coconut and is not overpowering. If you use coconut whipped cream as a topping, you will probably add (coconut blossom) sugar, just as you would with regular whipped cream. You can also add vanilla extract, cinnamon or other spices to change the flavour. If you use the coconut whipped cream in savoury dishes, and want to make the coconut flavour less prominent, make sure you use several other flavours in your dish.
How and for how long can you store coconut whipped cream?
After opening, store TerraSana Coconut Milk Whipped Cream Vegan in the fridge for up to 3 days.
