An increasingly common question: What is CBG oil and how does it differ from CBD oil? CBD oil is familiar to most people by now. CBG oil, on the other hand, is still an unknown to many of us. Hence, it is high time to also bring this wonderful product to the attention and explain to you what CBG oil has to offer. What are the differences between CBG oil and CBD oil? Can you use CBG oil alongside CBD oil? Reading is knowing!
The abbreviation CBG stands for cannabigerol, a relatively unknown substance discovered back in 1965 by two Israeli chemists. This substance is produced by all cannabis plants and is used in the plant as a kind of building block for other active cannabinoids: THC and CBD.
When the plant reaches flowering, there will actually be virtually no CBG left in the plant, as it is converted to other cannabinoids. When a lot of CBG does remain behind, it means that that plant will not contain high levels of THC or CBD. CBG oil is best combined with the use of CBD oil.
